Please consider purchasing travel insurance. Playa Escondida, except as noted in our policies, cannot be responsible for your failure to arrive for your reserved dates. Except as stated in our policy we will not refund your payment for any cause, including natural disasters, illness or any other reason.

Although you may find a child or two here at any time, Playa Escondida is primarily a resort for rest and relaxation. When we do accept children it is with some restrictions, both for the tranquility of other guests as well as for safety concerns. * Normally children under the age of 12 years are not permitted due to the various child hazards (precipices with no guard rails, pool and ocean dangers).
* Dates usually available for children to visit are the weeks of Christmas, Easter and the summer vacation months.
* We do not accept more than 2 children per family.
* Children are not permitted in the Jacuzzi or Spa areas.
* Children are only permitted in the restaurant and bar areas until 9pm.
* Children are not permitted to have water toys in the pool, to splash or to rough house.
* Children are permitted in the pool until 30 minutes before sunset.
* Our pool is located in the middle of our restaurant and, if the children are disturbing the ambiance of the area, they will be asked to leave.
* Children must be accompanied by an adult at ALL times. This is especially important on our beach during the hours where we do not have a lifeguard.
* Parents must accept responsibility for their children.

Holiday Celebration Fee: $150usd/adult; $100usd/child (12-17 years) and $75usd/child (under 12)

Cancellations: If your room is not re-rented, the Holiday celebration fee will be FORFEITED before applying the Refund or Credit Schedule (our expenses for music, decoration and fireworks are based in full occupancy). Credits will be valid for one year.

Mexican law does not permit smoking in the hotel or on the beach. All of our rooms are non-smoking as are our dining areas, including the bar in the main restaurant. If you choose to smoke off-property, on a remote part of the beach, please show consideration for others.
Dear guest, we appreciate well-behaved pets. Although our policy permits only service dogs, exceptions are made for small, well-mannered companions with a $35 nightly fee. 🐾
